Welcome to my diary, Jasmine’s Diary that is!
I was surprised that this domain wasn’t taken. When I saw that it wasn’t, I knew I had to jump at the chance to take it or else I’d regret it forever.
Now, what made me want to start this website? Aren’t online diaries dead? Aren’t blogs dead? Who would want to read this anyway? No. 1 Yes and no. // No. 2 I don’t know, but who cares?
This is an online diary and possibly a portfolio of my creations. It’s my own personal address on internet. It’s my space (not to be compared to MySpace the old 90’s Facebook like platform — although this feels like that but an even better version). I don’t have any expectations for this website, and I think that’s what makes it so beautiful. It’s just my thoughts, my personal advice, my way of participating in social media.
Honestly, what really inspired me to start this whole thing was this video from this lovely girl who decided to do the same thing. Just creating a space online that is all yours. Something that you can create into whatever you like just sounded so freeing ⎯ and what better time than now? I’m newly 30, and would love to document my thirty, flirty, and thriving era!
I plan on sharing, well, whatever I like! I’m no artist by any means, but I am a creative person. So you will find many things here. 0 plan and 0 expectations.
The point of this is having my very own space online. One that isn’t connected to anything else or determined by someone else. No algorithms. Just me, my computer, my thoughts, experiences, creations, and photos. My room online.
