I thought this book was just lovely! As someone who grew up watching The Nightmare Before Christmas on VHS, I was a little skeptical about how I would feel about this twisted tale of Sally discovering Christmas Town first. But it turns out, it’s a delightful story that gives us a deeper look into Sally’s thoughts and feelings.
Not only that, but Christmas Town isn’t the perfect place Jack saw. It’s a bit too perfect, and there’s a reason for that—one that Sally is there to uncover and save the day from. At one point, Jack is right there by her side, supporting and fighting alongside her. Honestly, it’s SO CUTE!
I also loved that Sally meets another doll! I thought this was such a charming touch, and the two of them become good friends. Sally even has to save her in Christmas Town at one point.
I adored every twist and turn of the story, and I thoroughly enjoyed this rendition. Highly recommend for a nice, easy read!
